Hi, I’m Laura Ordoñez Pérez, a Midwife, Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and the founder of Real Mama.

I support families in London with care that is expert, evidence-based and personal. I qualified as a nurse in 2011 and as a midwife in 2020. I have been a dance teacher since 2017, became an IBCLC — a breastfeeding consultant — in 2025, and trained as a Baby Ear Piercing Practitioner in 2026. I work with families through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early parenthood, as well as Baby Salsa and baby ear piercing.

When I became a mother to my daughter Sofia, that professional path became personal. I experienced first-hand the joys, challenges and endless questions that come with motherhood, and it confirmed why I wanted Real Mama to feel both highly qualified and genuinely human.

Real Mama was born from that experience. A space where mothers can find trusted support, honest conversations and personalised care throughout their motherhood journey. Alongside my work as a Midwife and IBCLC, I am also a dance teacher. Movement, music and community have always been a huge part of my life, which is why I created Baby Salsa — a joyful space where parents can connect, move and enjoy precious moments with their babies. Everything I offer, whether it's a breastfeeding consultation, an antenatal class, Baby Ear Piercing or a Baby Salsa session, is built around the same philosophy: To help mothers feel supported, empowered and never alone.
